- Coordination of program purchasing activities over specific CBU's in cooperation with the commodity purchasing groups.
- Support all program purchasing activities within the Customer Purchasing organization starting from phase 0 and over lifetime and taking major responsibility for achieving the European goal- and action-plans.
- Control and approval of all program purchasing activities and decisions in line with customer demands and commodity strategies.
- Provide financial expertise/support in terms of PD2 specifications, tooling + investment budgets, customer conditions, cost tracking, etc. in order to meet program and purchasing goals.
- Coordinate the supply chain requirements e.g. when/how to source, early sourcing, cross program supplier selection etc.
- Improvement of program-profitability as well as of all purchasing activities for the purposes of continuous improvement through global sourcing, long/life-time reductions etc.
Qualifications
- Commercial or technical degree or appropriate job experience
- Some years within the industry, automotive or commodity related, purchasing experience, operational and strategic involvement
- In depth understanding of purchasing tools and practices
- Controlling and cost analysis knowledge
- Ability to cooperate with people of different levels inside/ outside the company and to interact with team to reach team goals and business objectives
- Ability to express information in a manner appropriate to different levels of people & to lead negotiations
- Ability to recognize, respond to customer expectations with sense of urgency and even increase expectations
- Good knowledge of SAP R/3 modules and MS-Office
- Fluent in English and German
