Our client Polyscope Polymers BV is a Netherlands-based producer of styrene maleic anhydride copolymers and compunds. The company is founded in 2006 by a group of international private investors backed by Limburg Development and Investment Company LIOF and Limburg Ventures. Polyscope is a fast growing company which offers a broad range of products using varying types of SMA for engineering plastic and specialty polymer applications. The main business development areas in the engineering plastics is the injection molding and compounding market for automotive applications globally. The specialty polymers market is dominated by water –based applications in the paper, ink, pigment and paint industry. The main production site is located on the Chemelot site in Geleen. The organization structure is lean, we run our business to the slogan ”fresh thinking, great products”. To further grow of their business , mainly through exploring new markets and applications, we are currently looking for a:

SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Primary responsibilities
  • Sales driven, largely work on own initiative , but within defined boundaries of our strategic plan to achieve specific goals.
  • He/ she will develop new markets applications from business concept to commercial success.
  • Develops and implement a global sales strategy for the market and applications that ensures attainment of company sales and profitability goals.
  • Develops, proposes and leads the annual budget plan and daily after sales follow-up.
  • Client visits world wide.

Profile:
  • Customer focus and result driven.
  • Product and application oriented; good negotiation skills. Understands the market position of the Polyscope products and analyzes competitors' strengths and weaknesses.
  • Experience in industrial Industry sales (B2B) towards global companies preferably within Polyscope target Markets.
  • Deals effectively with cultural differences.
  • Demonstrate adaptability: adjusts way of negotiating to the type of customer concerned. Deals effectively with changed priorities.
  • Act with integrity: sticks to commitments with customers.
  • Work efficiently: manages own time efficiently (estimated time 40-60% travelling).
  • Drive for results: gives all to achieve plans within set timings.
  • Communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Polymers.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent – essential (preferably Chemische Technologie)
  • 3 - 5 years sales experience in chemical industry (preferably experience in engineering plastics)
