TÜV Rheinland Netherlands (110 fte) is part of the worldwide TÜV Rheinland Group. Operating from locations Arnhem (Head-Office) and Leek.

The risk can’t be taken of products being delivered on time and lacking the agreed quality. Business partners in different parts of the world have the common need for a guarantee that ordered components, materials and equipment align with the given specifications.
For further expansion of the activity Government Inspections & International Trade, TÜV Rheinland Netherlands is looking for a Sales & Business Developer. In this job you are the driving commercial force for new business, map out new markets and draw up and implement market approach plans and succeeds in achieving revenue.


  • Responsible for achieving the turnover targets with the associated margins and initiate and stimulate new sales orders.
  • Focus on market access services, government services and international approvals, like pre-import inspections, testing & certification of goods for countries as Uganda, Egypt, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia (and others).
  • Implementing TÜV Rheinland’s strategy.
  • Approaching potential and new clients and maintaining good relationships with existing client.
  • Maintaining, updating and expanding the client base by using the associated databases.
  • Developing and analyzing strategies and methods for the existing market or for launching new services.
  • Attending international trade fairs in the context of business.
  • Handling the comprehensive support of customers/clients (with regard to contract- related negotiations) nationally and internationally.
  • Working closely with an international team of inspectors and the International Sales Team of the Business Field.
  • Reporting to the Regional Business Field Manager Western Europe.


  • Bachelor, technical or commercial education for example HTO or HEAO-CE.
  • Experience in global sales, government services business development, international approvals, market access services.
  • Proven track record in international business and ability to recognize.
  • You have a proven affinity with business development and with drawing up and developing sales plans.
  • Personal profile: enterprising, commercial, decisive, driven to score, analytical, initiative, working as a team or independently, eager to learn, flexible and customer-oriented.
  • Familiar with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, German is an advantage.
  • Depending on place of residence, working from home-office or head-office Arnhem, with regular visits/contacts with international TÜV Rheinland locations.
  • Residential location East, Central or Western Netherlands.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
