For SICK Bilthoven (Sales & Service Office), we are looking for a Technical Project Manager on a global basis. In collaboration with the Key Account Manager, your goal is to further expand the market share of a specific global market player operating in the CEP market.
The Technical Project Manager is the single contact person for project execution as the local projects are planned centrally. Given the fact that every project includes a site survey, which has to be organized and from which the technical feed back has to implemented in the system design, the Technical Project Manager has close contact to the local project teams and SICK AG.


  • Managing international projects.
  • Single point of contact with global market player.
  • Point of contact for projects for local project teams.
  • Technical Support for the Key Account Manager.
  • Designs the system lay-out (with support SICK).
  • Managing site surveys prior to project start.
  • Validate the feasibility of a project, to analyze the risks (technical, financial) etc.
  • Commit to execute it and to be accountable for the end result.
  • Support the pre-sales phase.
  • Review, together with local project teams, all aspects of the contract when the order comes in (engineering clearing, T&C, payments terms, penalties etc).
  • Manage the execution of the project in the Netherlands and support the execution of international projects (subcontractors, penalties, commissioning, delays etc).
  • Assure the final payments and profitability of the project.
  • Inform all stakeholders about the final result and to learn from it.
  • Transfer to the service department or follow-up maintenance.
  • Reporting to the General Manager of SICK BV Bilthoven.


  • Bachelor degree in a Technical Science (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive), or Technical Business Administration field.
  • Broad experience in logistics automation environment.
  • Familiar with or coming from the CEP market.
  • Understand how the different departments with persons have their own goals and are able to support and shape the processes in such a way that the customer is served in the best possible way.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team environment and handle multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Persons profile: pro-active, driven, technically skilled, disciplined, teamplayer, ability to build relationships, organizer, structured yet creative, immune to stress, multi tasker, listener, detailed but has the overview.
  • Experience with ERP-systems, preferably SAP.
  • Proficient in the use of MS-Office tools.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Prepared to travel internationally occasionally, indication 20% of time.
  • Living in the middle of the Netherlands, within easy reach of Bilthoven.
